The Connected TV/Konfabulator (if you're not familiar with the product check out http://connectedtv.yahoo.com team is looking for a talented, energetic Senior Engineer who can help us take our platform to the next level.
Are you a solid C/C++ programmer who loves to learn new things? Are you good enough to work on a small fast moving team but with the resources of a larger company to back you?
In this team you’d be responsible for both product design as well as implementation. You’d be touching all pieces of the product from the low level rendering up to the APIs used by the TV Widget developers. Ideal candidates should also possess a very good understanding of view systems, image processing, flowed layout, etc. We are looking for a very well-rounded person who can dig into any area of the product and be successful.

Skills/Requirements:
a good knowledge of software engineering practices, including release management and quality
excellent time management and planning skills.
very strong debugging skills
solid C/C++ coding experience (or the equivalent in some other OOL).
solid experience coding on linux systems embedded and standard
good working knowledge of W3C technologies (XML, DOM, CSS, HTML, etc.).
good communications skills and be able to sell your ideas.
minimum 5 years of commercial application or OS software experience.
experience building media players from scratch
experience implementing technology based on W3C standards.
image processing skills
experience using (or better yet, writing) a C++ framework for deploying apps
experience with PHP/HTML/mysql and the unix shell.
