System Administrator

This is a full time, on-site, salaried position located in New York City paying $80,000 to $90,000 + benefits. US Citizens or Green Card holders only please. Local candidates only. No telecommuting. Thank you.

Overview:

As the System Administrator your core focus will be running and maintaining the network and server infrastructure including all peripherals. You will provide full technical support to all employees and help in projects that require any server side assistance. Your main project focus will be the product platform where you will routinely plan and schedule the deployment of version releases. You will be a key supporting resource for the software engineering team, providing assistance on a variety of server management tasks such as system monitoring and operations as well as server and data management. Skills/Requirements: 
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
3 to 5 years of experience in a system administrator/engineer role or similar
Moderate understanding of Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems
Thorough knowledge of technologies such as Windows server, Exchange, SQL Server, Subversion, Apache, IIS, LAMP, JBoss, Firewall appliances and SSH
Extensive experience from Unix/Linux system administration tasks
Moderate skills in MySQL service maintenance and SQL language
Desire to learn about and implement new technology
Ability to efficiently work both independently as well as part of the team
Demonstration of a highly proactive and solution-driven approach to problem solving
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) in order to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization
Experience in the domain of release management
Experience with Continuous Integration infrastructures such as Hudson or Artifactory
Experience with maintaining and evolving Linux-based clustered systems
