Description
The Solutions Concepting and Innovation (C&I) team drives innovation projects to identify and define future Nokia solutions. The team does hands-on concepting projects working in close co-operation with other Nokia concepting teams. The Innovation team within C&I is responsible for identifying and describing the key innovation opportunities and most promising ideas for C&I and uses rapid prototyping as a tool to concretize the user experiences and key use cases for the ideas.
We are looking for a talented and fast-coding mobile and web SW developer who can turn early sketches and visionware to concrete user experiences of new mobile solutions by building quick, but beautiful, prototypes. You have the skills needed for putting the ideas into roughly the right context in device SW UX, thus generating a real enough demo to deliver the feel of the target consumer experience. You like rapid prototyping as a way of working and want to contribute your own ideas, yet you are able and ready to switch tasks and projects on short notice. Our projects typically last 2-4 weeks, during which a set of small prototypes needs to be created. This position is based in either Espoo or Tampere, Finland.

Skills/Requirements:
To grasp this exciting opportunity, you have strong interest and good skills in rapid prototyping of mobile applications and web services, ideally with 4-6 years of relevant experience. No stranger to user-centric design and user testing, you have a talent for finding the best and clearest user experience
You've mastered a number of relevant tools such as Flash / Actionscript (essential), Javascript, XHMTL, CSS, PHP, Ruby-on-rails, MySQL, and REST APIs. We'll also appreciate familiarity with video and sound editing, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. Capability to assess the technical feasibility of concepts is important, too. Additionally, you have experience in working with interaction and visual designers, and if you yourself possess those skills, that's a big plus. Basic knowhow of QT and the creation of WRT widgets is also a big bonus.
To thrive in our small but dynamic team, you must have good communication and team-working skills, a keen interest in learning new things, and a mind that is open to new ideas and ways of working.
