Yahoo Shopping is a very visible part of the highest trafficked site on the web. We're searching for a motivated Sr. QA Engineer with strong technical background and experience in quality engineering to participate in our fast paced, dynamic release cycles for Deals property.

This candidate will be mainly support project/releases for Yahoo Shopping property, at same time working on automation, both Front End and WebService API. A successful candidate will have a strong track record of being able to supporting complex project, leveraging automation for testing effort, developing new automated test suites, evaluating test coverage, providing high-quality feedback on the state of the product, and building strong relationships with the cross functional teams. This candidate will need to have excellent communication skills and will be comfortable multi-tasking.

Skills/Requirements: 
BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
At least five years experience testing highly scalable web applications with project lead for complex projects experience.
Strong knowledge of QA processes and methodology, hands-on experience with tools for test automation, version control, test case management, and bug tracking.
At least 5 years of QA automation experience, both FE and API. For FrontEnd, Selenium (on Java) is preferred.
At least 5 years of QA automation experience, both FE and API. For FrontEnd, Selenium (on Java) is preferred.
At least 3 years coding experience in Java or C++ and/or PHP
At least 2 years software development background
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Able to drill down product backend to come up with testing strategy for the project which requires backend development.
Strong written and communication skills, enjoy working in collaboration with multiple teams.
Passion for QA, ability to evangelize QA principles and drive high-quality on-time product releases.
Hands on experience on white box-grey box, WS API, performance/Load and security testing.
Experience in develop QA automation framework
Functions/Responsibilites: 
Work with developers and product team to support all releases which includes create test plans, test specs and testing strategies; execute tests, evaluate and communicate test results.
React quickly and effectively to on-demand requirement and changes, juggle multiple projects and requests.
Utilize various automation tool to perform testing for all layers – FrontEnd, WS API and backend which process data. This includes maintaining existing automation code and developing new automation code when new project comes up.
Continually evaluate our products from a customer perspective and develop those thoughts into finding bugs, creating new tests, and suggesting improvements.
