Senior Integration Engineer is focused on assuring the successful integration of all Service Platform offerings across Nokia mobile internet portfolio (ovi.com). Continually update and define best practices for integration of enablers by the various services.
This is not a primary coding position. Time allocated toward development is < 50%.
Primary focus is on technical customer interaction and troubleshooting difficult high level API/SDK problems.

Skills/Requirements:
Exposure to development of Internet based consumer services and applications (must have min. of 3+ years of experience).
Should have strong understanding of Web based services (3+ yrs).
Should have strong understanding of protocol implementations such as HTTP/S, XMPP, IPC
Should have strong understanding of server back end architecture and implementation.
Must have good grasp of: Java and/or C/C++
Proficient in communications (Written/Verbal) , must have problem solving skills.
Ability to travel up to 25% (mainly U.S. and Europe)
It would be great if you also had:
Sockets (TCP/IP experience a plus) (3 yrs.)
Experience with embedded systems such as Symbian, Maemo, Apple iPhone, Google Android (2 yrs.) is a plus.
Exposure to the following is a plus: REST, XML, XHTML, CSS.
Good to have exposure in scripting languages i.e.: JavaScript , Python, Perl
Exposure to SDK and development tools and their implementation.
Functions/Responsibilites:
Support Integration activities
Enjoy analyzing and solving integration problems on the server and client side
Report analyzed problems to relevant stakeholders.
Document findings and best practices for use by others to be shared through the Knowledge Base using blogs, etc.
Error Management
Keep track of the Errors / bugs identified during integration support and communicate to development teams
Personality
Passion to resolve the technical problems, troubleshoot, and tackle complex issues
Organized and can manage several tasks at one time.
Be able to create networks with various stakeholders.
