Skills/Requirements:
A B.A. / B.S. Degree or equivalent
A Master's Degree is preferred
Strong communication skills
Experience with JEE related Frameworks and tools such as Spring, Apache Struts, Apache Maven, and Apache Ant
Experience with SQL programming, Oracle 10g, JDBC, SQL, PL/SQL, and writing moderate to complex SQL queries
Practical in-depth knowledge of the fundamentals of Object-Oriented design and programming (OOD and OOP); component design, and development
Must possess exceptional debugging and analytical skills
Experience specific to Higher Education and Kuali Middleware Deployment is a plus
Knowledge of Research Administration in general is a plus
Five to eight years of experience developing Java Web-based applications in a multi-tiered environment using JEE application planning and development to include Java, JSP, JSTL, XML, XSLT, and related technologies
Functions/Responsibilites:
Support and maintain University Kuali Coeus (KC) System; an open-source Electronic Research
Administration system, and other Research Administration systems including the technical maintenance, problems, and incidents of medium to high complexity that require demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments
Participate in Research Administrations actively managed projects' development, enhancements, and building interfaces with other systems
Help implementation stay current with all developments related to Kuali Coeus releases, upgrades, and patches to various Kuali Coeus environments
Prepare user procedure manuals; comprehensive Kuali Coeus test plans, technical design documentation, and service documentation
Communicate the project's technical risks, issues, progress, and successes to the project's technical lead and project manager
