PHP Web Developer

The successful candidate has experience with web development using PHP / Perl and MySQL.
Must have good knowledge of development tools, techniques and have proven experience architecting, developing, debugging and fixing performance critical web based applications.

Skills/Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
4-5 years of PHP programming
2 years working with MySQL
1-2 years Perl programming
2 years of Software / Web Application design experience
Understand Object Oriented Programming design and basic Shell Scripting Knowledge
Intermediate JavaScript and XML Knowledge
At least 1 year experience working with XML documents programmatically
Working knowledge of XML/XSLT, DHTML/CSS
Understanding security issues surrounding deploying distributed, large-scale web-based applications
Ability to manage multiple tasks to challenging timescales & work with technical and non-technical team members
Familiar with PHP MVC frameworks, preferably the Zend Framework)
Familiar with JavaScript libraries (jQuery, Prototype)
Familiar with ActionScript, Flex, Flash
Functions/Responsibilites:
Develop, maintain & support large, high-availability web based applications & reporting tools
Learn & understand existing platforms and their daily operations
Develop & maintain feature add-ons to the existing platforms
Develop & maintain new web applications based on the existing platform
Assist in managing the development life cycle from conception to testing and deployment
