PHP developer

Job Type: Development: LAMP / PHP / Perl / Ruby on Rails / Python
This is an opportunity for you to be an integral part of building a next-generation social gaming platform utilizing PHP, LAMP and other web technologies. This company is located in the heart of San Francisco and are builing a web 2.0 community that will interface gaming with social networking.

You will expand their web platform that interfaces with payment systems, storefront, publishing and game engine. You will be part of a small team that will be involved in everything from the design of these application to developing and optimizing the core services.

Responsibilities:

Partner with multipe teams within the company including the studio team
Develop webservices to interface with multiple platforms
Write creative code for the UI, server side and database technology
Have the ability to adapt to high growth and scalability issues
Establish and work to enhance our community's experience

Must have technical skills:

Experience developing complex, high-traffic e-commerce applications
Experience with web application or software development in a LAMP stack environment with PHP 5 expertise
Advanced knowledge of SQL, XML and data driven applications
Strong grasp of object-oriented design
Great communication skills
BS in CS
Experience creating highly scalable and/or distributed solutions
Strong pluses:

Expert knowledge of PHP and/or other web-centric technologies
Javascript / AJAX / REST experience
C/C++ proficiency
HTML / CSS proficiency
Experience creating highly scalable and/or distributed solutions
