Description: Kforce is seeking a Java Developer for Web-based Services for a Lake Oswego, Oregon client.
Skills/Requirements:
5+ years of experience
Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the position
Advanced knowledge of J2EE technologies including JavaScript, XML, XSL, Web services, EJB and Servlets
2 years experience with RAD 7.0, Eclipse, TKO/Lisa and SOAP UI
Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and as a member of a team
System design and/or Analysis/Vendor product integration
Knowledge of underlying concepts for web servers, database and application servers and enterprise applications
Experience promoting best practices for service based architecture and implementation
Experience performing functional testing of web applications to ensure usability
User experience with Remedy and incident lifecycle via Remedy
Knowledge of our client's methodology
Development of Java Application Servers and Portals (IBM WebSphere Application Developer 6.1 or higher, JBoss, WebLogic 5.0); IBM WebSphere Application Server, and IBM WebSphere Portal Process Server
Development experience in Oracle is a plus
Preferred Languages: Java, J2EE, UNIX shell scripts, XML, XPath, UML and HTML
Minimum 2 years of experience in the tools and utilities: RAD 7.0, JUnit, Log4J, Maven
Version Control: Starteam, CVS, SVN
Platforms: Windows2000/XP and UNIX
Exposure to various technologies including Web services (SOAP, WSDL, XML Schema); XML technologies including Sax, Dom; Java EE frameworks including Spring, and Hibernate; and databases technologies including DB2, Oracle, PL/SQL, and stored procedures
Functions/Responsibilites:
Translates detailed design into web services
Supports testing, debugging, and refining the computer software to produce the required product
Helps prepare both program-level and user-level documentation
Maintains / enhances the code to meet changing requirements customer / industry needs
