J2EE Software Architect w/ Cognos SDK
Modis is currently seeking a Software Architect for an exciting contract opportunity with our client downtown Chicago.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Software Architect will be participating in the full lifecycle development for enterprise software applications and customized business intelligence integration solutions.
Primary responsibilities will include the design, coding, testing and debugging of enterprise software applications, using Java /J2EE, Oracle, ETL DataStage the Cognos ReportNet Java SDK.
Candidates must have strong SOAP-based Web Services development experience, working with Websphere Application Server and MQ Messaging.
Experience with Oracle / SQL Data Modeling using UML, Visio and Erwin is also essential to this role.

Duration: 3 + months with high likelihood of extension
Rate: Negotiable
Skills/Requirements:
Required Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science related field
7+ years IT Experience
Demonstrated Architect-level experience in the full software development lifecycle
Expert Java/ J2EE Development experience in a WebSphere / Oracle environment
Strong SOAP Web Services development experience
Experience working with the Cognos Software Development Kit 8 for Java (Cognos ReportNet SDK)
Good experience with Oracle / SQL Data Modeling using UML, Visio and Erwin
ETL, Informatica, DataStage experience is highly preferred
