Front-End Web Developer - HTML, JavaScript, CSS

Description: Our client's IT group is looking for a highly-experienced Front-End Web Developer with extensive hands-on experience designing and developing web-based applications. In additional to expert web design and user interface development skills, a successful candidate should be able to communicate well with the team of Developers and project managers, and in some cases directly to business clients. The Front-End Web Developer will assist with turning the business clients' vision into tangible designs that ultimately get built into web-based applications.

Requirements: The software application landscape within IT spans many technologies, so a successful candidate should have exposure to various technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and Photoshop. In addition to vast technical experience, the candidate must have polished communication skills with the capability of presenting in front both technical and non-technical audiences.

Skills/Requirements: 
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience along with 3+ years of work experience
5+ years experience building web-based applications and designing user interface components
3+ years with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Ability to quickly create HTML wire-frames to mock-up screens
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Desire to design and code on a day-to-day basis
3+ years of very strong J2EE
3+ years of very strong Java Servlets
2+ years with Adobe Photoshop
1+ years with any AJAX-based framework (like Dojo, jQuery, etc.)
Hands-on experience using Adobe Flex and ActionScript
Ability to slice Photoshop files and create usable images for web pages
Experience using Agile methodologies including Scrum and XP
Customer service attitude and able to work well within a cross-functional team
Functions/Responsibilites: 
Be part of a team of Developers working on multiple initiatives that involves coding new components from scratch and enhancing existing code
Work with business clients to gather and clarify requirements
Evaluate business requirements and collaborate to come up with designs that are clean, user-friendly, and intuitive
Follow industry best practices for web application development
