We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join the Yahoo! Entertainment Front End team. The Front End team is responsible for developing Yahoo! Entertainment websites – Yahoo! Music, Yahoo! Movies, Yahoo! TV, Yahoo! Video, OMG! and others, and global software platforms to power these sites. Yahoo! Entertainment sites are among the top entertainment destinations on the Web, and you’ll play a key role in developing unique and exciting products and services that touch millions of people every day.

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Must have strong knowledge and keen interest in emerging tools and technologies in the industry
BS in Computer Science with 4+ years or MS in Computer Science with 2+ years of industry experience
Must have strong knowledge of JavaScript, CSS and DHTML
Must have strong knowledge of server-side scripting and template usage like PHP, Smarty and client-side AJAX
Proficiency in XML, XSLT, Unix administration, and shell scripting are pluses
Regular expressions, Unix development experience, and Subversion management experience highly desired
Database, SQL and MySQL (LAMP stack) experience are pluses
Experience developing and deploying highly efficient, scalable server-side applications
Experience developing and deploying highly efficient, scalable server-side applications
Excellent debugging and testing skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
