Drupal/PHP Developer
My direct client in NYC is seeking a Full Time Drupal/PHP Engineer to help build a new media website. My client has over 100 professionals who possess deep skill sets in Web-based technology. They offer an excellent compensation package and you will be working with some of the best and the brightest in the industry!
You will assist current team with all architectural decisions regarding Drupal content type structure, views definition, caching decisions, data migration and MySQL optimization. You will write custom modules, back-end code and reusable objects in PHP. On this project, team expects to face several unique challenges such as heavily relying on specialized caching to help us handle significant traffic of logged in users.
Skills/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in software development,
2+ years experience in web development using Drupal 6.x
4+ years of PHP programming application experience
Using and optimizing MySQL 5.x
Integrating external applications with Drupal
Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP, REST, JSON) and consuming web services from Drupal
Knowledge of Drupal module development
Demonstrated implementation of a UI toolkit such as JQuery
Experience of high traffic or large brand media website development
Agile experience is a +
Functions/Responsibilites:
Active hands-on development as part of small agile team
Translate wireframes into production ready front/back end code
Participate in design and architectural discussions
Participate in code review and knowledge share with other teammates
