Drupal web programmer & user interface integrator

My organization is hiring for a Drupal web programmer and user interface integrator for NREL’s Digital Assets team (www.nrel.gov) to develop an optimized business data workflow. Location: Golden, Colorado.

Deliverables:

Provide knowledge transfer (via discussion, demonstration and thorough documentation) to NREL staff
Provide timely products given changing business processes and inputs
Provide weekly updates to project lead regarding work performed
Keep project lead informed of issues that may delay the milestones of project
All software code/programming is intellectual property of NREL

Skills/Requirements: 
Bachelor’s degree in Web design, information technology, computer science, or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Working knowledge and experience relating to:
Creativity, passion and technical know-how to create excellent Web sites with broad user appeal
Mastery of CSS, HTML/XHTML
Advanced knowledge of PHP and Drupal
Knowledge of JavaScript, XML, MySQL, AJAX
Experience installing, configuring and maintaining Drupal Web sites
Portfolio of prior work to show competence in CSS, HTML, PHP, Drupal and optionally JavaScript/jQuery/AJAX
Basic understanding of common Drupal modules, particularly community features
Drive to respond to customer requests in a timely manner
Current best practices for Web design and programming
Creation and maintenance of clear, concise documentation and user manuals
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and client service skills
Strong initiative and ability to research, learn, and apply new software tools and practices
jQuery javascript platform
Extensive work with Drupal modules, both creation and installation
Understanding of Section 508 compliance guidelines for government Web sites
Command line Linux, Apache configuration
Performance tuning of Web sites, to include CSS sprites, image optimization, JavaScript, AJAX, and CSS minification
Search engine optimization techniques
SVN, CVS
Functions/Responsibilites: 
Rapidly prototype and build new pages and features within a Drupal CMS environment
Create and modify CSS for maximum usability for customer-facing Web sites with a broad consumer audience
Build and edit pages in HTML/XHTML
Take a flat-file graphical design, transform into a Drupal theme or UI element on page
